It was 7:56 PM on a red Sunday, November 30, 2008...

I am 0.5 of a shade darker than before!
(at least that's what i want to believe)

The unofficial Red Camp outing was yesterday. They said to meet at Harbourfront latest by 10.00 a.m. and so we did and we got our tickets for the monorail early. But ended up staying at Vivo all the way until 12.50 p.m. Mind you the sun was already burnin' up burnin' up on everyone but me baby (somehow, my skin is resistant to Ultraviolet Light) We weren't inside the building but was exposed to the outdoors. Got into groups and ours was Okto (lame name... my idea though XD) Played whacko for a while. Reached Sentosa at 1.10 p.m. and only managed to play this find-random-strangers-whose-name's-first-letter-might-collectively-spell-SILOSO game and Captain's Ball. Then Saiful and your's truly angkat kaki at 2++ p.m. Met me family at Swensens' Junction 8 to have a 6-days'-late birthday dinner for mummy! After which was "shopping" (didn't get any material goods though... yes i am materialistic) Got home around 10 p.m. It was obviously tiring and I almost drooled in my bus during the afternoon. But as usual it was a? *hears people screaming "Fun!"* Yes it was a fun day.
(P.S. my attempt at being Matthew)

Anyway below is a picture taken at Zouk by Denise
(whom i seriously doubt reads this blog)
Okay I know I need to vary my expressions in pictures. But until I learn to do that...

(just cause i want to make it seem that my life isn't boring)

On Monday, AKFFSSS went to the Esplanade! For the first time I actually got into a concert hall there. But I gotta say that I was abit disapointed. Maybe was expecting too much (considering that it took $6 million to make) And seriously the seat were kind of too far away from the stage. What a waste of space man. And they should really learn to chill. I mean yeah the place is for "high class" people but doesn't mean you have to be so uptight about everything. We can enter or leave the place only during intermissions (that means if someone was dying, he had better hoped that the Phantom Of The Opera is short) And we couldn't bring food or drinks in (they checked your bags like in airports) And no photography allowed (with or without flash) And no handphones to be used (even if you're just SMS-ing cause they blocked the network). Hurr. Other than that the performance was okay. It was abit boring initially but picked up after Tanjung Katung Secondary School's band performed (Mama Mia! Here I go again. My, my, how can I resist you?) After it ended, AKFFSS was supposed to meet S but we got lost and only found her after some time. We were supposed to eat but they had to go home by that time :(

On Tuesday, was supposed to meet Saiful at Bishan MRT by 1.10 p.m. But the awesome and givalicious (guy version of a diva) me woke up at 1 p.m. Using my awesome super powers, I rushed at the speed of radio waves and took the bus instead, reaching Zouk only 10 mins later than the rest (not bad huh? :) There were a lot of Red Campers over there and a few Andersonians. Basically just sat around and watched the skit done by Singapore Poly along with a few television personalities like the CNA guy, the Indian guy from Calefare, Irene Ang and Tan Kheng Hua. Was a bit boring and a few guys wanted to go to an underage party at St James instead but didn't. After the whole skit ended it was time for the dance floor, again (i think i might somehow have gotten hooked to this... noooo!!!) But this time there weren't that many people and the dance floor was also kind of small. But it was alright.

And we go BOOM dynamite
And we go *makes red indian noise*
BOOM Dynamite

And we go OH MY GOD!
And we go O-O-O-O-O-O-O-O
OH MY GOD!

Photobucket

Woah. Red Camp was unbelieveably fun. So many cheers. So many enthusiastic people. And the food was awesome. And it was free! (and this is where i publish a normal post like other people)

DAY I
I came later than the other Andersonians. Got separated for the Engineering thing but it was okay cause my team won movie tickets! Awesome. But by lunch we got together and oh they gave us KFC. And then Baracudas performed and yeah it was somewhat painfully loud that I had to move to the back. After that was CCA Xperience (okay this was somewhat boring) First was to set up a skit with one main character.

Photobucket
Ours was Kung Fu panda.

Next was the dance (this was the awesomest among the three). We did a short routine but it was tiring okay! Legs got cramped after a while and my shoes were oh so friction-ful. Then we had the lamest para-para activity (part of the HSM2 franchise).

Photobucket
Then all Red Campers gathered for a game which the Ninjas won.

DAY II
The Apaches went to the Media & Humanities.

Photobucket
We made a panda origami

Photobucket
and watched a puppet show about dyslexia.

Then for Film & Media we had a hilarious Indian Mat for a tour guide. Watched a short video and then watched some people do a silent skit (Tysha was one of them) We then went to the TV section to get

Photobucket
behind the scenes of how live News goes.

Up next was spaghetti from Breeks and brownies for lunch. The brownies was (awesome). XD Then we went to Life & Health Sciences.

Photobucket
We managed to save a dying Mr Brown (??)!!

Photobucket
And we learned how to poke veins (or is it arteries?) to feed in liquid for patients.

Photobucket
And I kissed a baby (take that Katy Perry!).

Photobucket
And watched a fake man give birth.

Photobucket
And learned about premature babies.

After which Red Campers gathered at the Convention Centre to learn the mass dance which was actually fun to do. Then we had "Indonesian Cusine" which I can't remember what it consist of.

DAY III
Went for IT & Digital Media. This was actually the most boring. Took two SubTribe photos professionally. Then watched a video about frogs which refused to die but died in the end anyway. After that went around looking at posters and whatnot. And then went to solat Jumaat at Darussalam. Man were we freaking early. Spent 50 mins alongside the other guys doing nothing. And the lights couldn't stop flickering until I had a headache and was like "God why does it refuse to stop flickering?" (the answer to which i figured out later during hop night) After that went back and had pizza, chicken and a super chewy garlic bread all from Breeks. Then Red Campers gathered again to do the mass dance and our respective tribe cheers! Go APACHES! We the drama mama Dreamgirls ok! Don't mess with us or we go "Scueeze me!" XD So yeah no one tribe won so each tribe had a title. Then we got into the Singapore Books Of Records for the whole "Freeze" thing! Awesome. After which was dinner with Japanese food consisting of unagi (??), prawn, chicken and this weird asam. And then pretty much did nothing except a few pictures while waiting to go inside the Convention Centre for Hop Nite. When we got in, I was like, woah. Man the sound system was so awesome! I could feel my insides vibrate cause of the sound. When we entered Baracudas were performing. Then they had this group called Dua (??) which consisted of five people. Haha Jojo had the moves to rival Nicole Sherzinger I tell you. Too bad he's a he. And then was this group of breakdancers with awesome moves. Then Andrew Chow from Zouk came and we partied!! Seriously lah it was way awesome. Even the real Zouk with Singapore Poly couldn't match up. So yeah danced with a few strangers and kept on the move after a while. Awesome lah. I felt so, happy and free!

Apaches' Mascot, BIG Hairy Bear!

Prom!!! Haha. So yeah it was at Mariott Hotel. Reached there later than planned (somehow, i will ALWAYS arrive late irregardless of how hard i try to not be) It was, err, different to see everyone so, different. But I gotta say the more dramatic transformations were the girls. Now I can finally tell the difference between professinally done hair and not! XD So after forever we were allowed in and I love the whole lighting. The cakes were awesome! I love love the brownies. And all the while they had a show for the prom kings and queens. After it all ended, it was time for the dance floor. Was pretty small though and I only danced to 'Low'. Haha. They had to stop it cause Anna lost her stuff. Went back home by cab around 12++ a.m. with Saiful (the taxi fare amounted to $22.50 -.-"). And yeah picture time! (after "stealing" and begging people to send me pictures)

007 weird things/habits/little known facts about me

1: I believe that an ipod or something is stuck in my head. Cause songs just get stucked in it. For example:

Stranger : Eh boy, what time is it?
Zac: What time is it? It's summer time blah nla

2: I procrastinate alot, only cause I would have to rush later. And I secretly love the rush cause its simply thrilling.

3: I like the awkwardness girls have when wearing high heels. Its just the way they try to balance when walking in heels.

4: When I was young I would feel sad whenever everyone goes to sleep. Maybe its the darkness and the silence that sets in the mood. I'm more of a noise and bright-light kind of person.

5: I really suck at remembering dates and names. This is why in Sec 3 I chose triple science over having to take History (and i got neither phew). And I remember taking 6 months to remember the names of people in my class

6: When it comes to eating, I have moods. I can be really hungry but still not have any desire for food. And I can be full but still wanting to eat (and this, sadly, rarely happens)

7: I might just be a photographer one day! :)

"I would like to congratulate all of you because you guys are the batch that managed to receive the lowest MSG in Anderson's history! Congratulations! The average MSG is an astounding 8.6 and in fact the highest L1R5 this year is an all-time low of 15..."

Or at least that was what happened in my dreams. Rawr. Hope things turns out awesome but I'm still prepared for the worst. Anywhooo...

O'levels is freaking over!!

Photobucket

I don't have to keep staring at that piece of paper anymore!! And oh the "6" is my row number and I have it because I sit at the freaking first column. Way at the front. Guess I don't mind though cause it's actually quite fun. I mean you can observe the invigilators. There's this outcasted invigilator. And then there's this guy who is really really trying so hard to talk with this two other female invigilator. It was like a drama involving in front of my eyes. That, or my mind is super duper dramatic and imaginative. And am I the only one who thinks that the person-in-charge-whose-name-we-do-not-know looks like a female version of Mr Ang?? Like seriously imagine Mr Ang wearing contact lens, a dress and a wig and you would have someone looking like her.

However the curtain does not fall yet. Nooo... Cause there's still prom!! :) By the way does prom really stand for promenade? Or is it promeganate? Or promiscuous!! Lame... Haha. Ok so I didn't get that awesome Zara shirt. But I got four equally awesome Calvin Klein shirt!! Calvin Klein. Ck. Man it feels nice to say the brand. Calvin Klein!! Kk. And all four for $80 instead of err $600+?? (if you were to follow the price tags) I love you Club 21! Awesome awesome sale. Gonna wait for its awesome sale in 2010 hopefully...

And oh I swear I hate shopping centres now. Am so tired of going in shops after shops and going zoom zoom at clothes and going out to yet another shop. Not going shopping for awhile. Nope. Noooo... (oh Punk Star at Ang Mo Kio Hub sells nice t-shirts!!) Enough about shopping centres.

I want a With Love...Hilary Duff perfume. Or Wrapped With Love. Yes yes those are for girls but reviewers says that guys can wear it too! Don't care. Got rare Cocobolo Wood okay (don't know what that is but it sounds manly) But to get the perfume must go like Japan or something. Sigh. But I won't mind a big bottle of Davidoff. Or Salvatore Ferragamo. Or that perfume that Patrick Dempsey is doing... Okay this post is officially too gay to be continued. Oops cannot say that later Hilary angry... :(

Holiday

I remember summers, you and me lasting forever
Holidays come and we'd never, never ever be apart
I remember spending, all of my time, every minute
The two of us we had our own rhythm, intune with
The beat of my heart

Now in the summer (I miss you)
And in the winter (I miss you)
It don't matter (what I do)
Since you went away, since you went away
Now in the summer (I miss you)
And in the winter (I miss you)
It don't matter what I do
It don't matter what I say
You left it

You took a holiday from us
Took a trip and left your love
If your heart weren't down forever
You should have told me where it was
You took a holiday from me
I guess you needed to be free
Would have loved you with no measure
And now you got me asking
Where (where did you go huh? where did you go huh?)
Where (where did you go huh? where did you go huh?) did you go?
(where did you go huh?) Where did my heart go?
You took a holiday

Where (where did you go huh? where did you go huh?)
Where (where did you go huh? where did you go huh?) did you go?
(where did you go huh?) Why did you leave?
This ain't no holiday for me

Walking, watching you leave there's no talking
Back on my own it's so shocking
Guess forever was just a dream
I think we could have made it
But our history now is fading
My image of the future is changing
And baby damn that thing called destiny,
Got the best of me

If I could take a step back, make it turn out different
I would hide those bags, and I'd tear that ticket
Never thought you and me would be done in a minute
Now I'm making new plans and you're just not in it
Where did you go?

To what extent does Social Studies bore people? ( -13m)

Certainly, as the statement suggest, Social Studies is a bore. However, it cannot be solely blamed for boring people as there are other factors such as Additional Maths and Physics.

Social Studies involves the study of the perfect system of the Singapore government. The year when the subject was first introduced is unknown, but judging by the eager government to "tame" young Singaporeans' minds, it must have began immediately when Singapore gained independance, that is in 1965. When studying Social Studies, students are forced to remember historical facts where other countries have failed because of an incompetent government. They are then told of a better alternative, that is the way of the Singapore government. Social Studies bore people specifically because students are required to memorise two entire textbooks. The aim of this is to etch the worthless propagandas information in students' minds.

However. the significant of Social Studies should not be overexagerated as there are other factors to blame.

Additional Maths was started because some people got bored and decided, "Hey, u know i dun tink ive done enuff maths. Lets do smmore!! Woohoo!" Thanks to Additional Maths though, students are prepared if a guy asks "If that street bisects this street at a 45 degree angle, find x." Also, when cooking we can "use mensuration to figure out the total surface area of a saucepan". We can also determine if the "corner of our table has an angle's sine of 0.866" or otherwise. However, maths bore people because it is so freaking difficult. Failing it over and over again is just plain sucky.

Physics, or also commonly called Physicks, is the study of how to use Maths in real life. For example, using the equation v=fλ, we can calculate the wavelength of radio waves so that we can adjust our satellite dishes to receive the signal as efficiently as possible. However, Physics is boring because it is a freaking lie! The tests and prelims were so easy yet the O'levels' paper was so effing difficult. Garh people hate Physics.

In the final anaylsis, I think that people should make their own conclusions because whenever I try to write conclusions I don't get any marks so whatever!
